A series of copolymer resins with outstanding consistency of properties and color. Acetal copolymers are well known for their fatigue and wear resistance as well as high chemical resistance and dimensional stability. In addition, ASHLENE Acetals exhibit excellent heat stability during molding, high flow, and low mold surface deposits.

192 14.0 Higher flow for thin wall part applications.

195 27.0 Fast cycling for thin walled injection molding applications such as cassette components and multi-cavity molds.

197 45.0 Very low viscosity resin for injection molding applications requiring thin walls and long flow paths.

Economy Grades
A series of both copolymer and homopolymer resins for less critical applications. Properties are usually very near prime and have developed a reputation for consistency.

    Color Designation & Modifications Available
    Natural color is designated N1, N2, N3, N5 and N6.
    N1 Is a specialized grade of prime virgin resin.
    N2 & N8 Is a standard similar to the U.S. prime producer resins.
    N3 Is natural color for reprocessed resin. Shade of Natural may vary from lot to lot.
    N5 Natural off spec where properties are good but color is of a lower quality with occasional oxidized pellets.
    B Is the designation for Black available as standard color. It is regularly available in 190.
    B8 Cube blend with black color concentrate pellets, ethylene carrier in a 50/1 ratio. Available in most grades.
    B2 Weatherable grade, black only.
    H UV stabilized in natural and colors.
    H2 Maximum UV stabilized in natural and black.

    ASHLENE PBT POLYESTER PRODUCT GUIDE

    A series of copolymer resins with outstanding consistency of properties and color.     Injection Molding Grades

    These are prime virgin resins comparable in every respect to products from the well known producers and available in either natural, black or custom color matched.
     

    General Purpose Unreinforced
    P105 Low viscosity grade for high flow applications.

    P106 Medium viscosity for general purpose applications such as switches, motor end caps, typewriter and terminal keytops, brackets and gears.




    Glass Reinforced
    P123  15% G.R. A series of glass reinforced compounds offering a choice of strength, stiffness and toughness for a range of applications. All compounds exhibit easy mold release and fast cycling characteristics.
    Applications include housing, gearboxes, distributor caps, ignition components, appliance handles, as well as numerous electrical tele- communications and industrial applications.
    P124  20% G.R.
    P126  30% G.R.
    P128  40% G.R.
    P130  50% G.R.
    P126T  30% G.R. Combines excellent mechanical strength with improved impact Performance and ductibility. Applications include load bearing Components, pump housings, power tool components & conveyor links.



    Mineral Reinforced
    P134  20% Mineral These formulations exhibit outstanding rigidity with good resistance to warpage and sinking in large areas. Suitable for applications such as headlamp housings or wherever surface gloss is desirable.

    Economy Grade PBT Polyester Resins

    These are compounded blends of virgin resin and carefully segregated and tested regrind. As an excellent choice for cost sensitive applications, they broaden the range of applications that can benefit from the superior properties unique to PBT Polyesters. There is no compromise of such critical properties as heat resistance, dimensional stability, rigidity, and strength as well as chemical resistance. Rigidity is slightly reduced with glass reinforced grades and quality of surface finish may be reduced. Careful blending of each lot assures uniformity of properties and color within each lot. While the shade of natural color may vary slightly from lot to lot, minimum physical properties are assured by individual lot certifications.

    Unreinforced
    105 Low viscosity for high flow applications.
    106 Medium viscosity for applications such as switches, motor end caps, typewriter and terminal keytops, brackets and gears.



    Glass Reinforced
    123   15% G.R. Offer a choice of strength and stiffness with fast cycling characteristics and easy mold release. Applications include housing, gear boxes. distributor caps, appliance handles, as well as telecommunications and industrial applications.
    126   30% G.R.



    Mineral Reinforced
    134 20% M.R. Outstanding rigidity with good resistance to warpage and sinking in large areas.
    138 40% M.R.



    Flame Retardant*
    105WO An unreinforced medium flow resin for switches, cable enclosures, and light fixtures.
    114WO An unreinforced impact modified grade.
    123WO 15% G.R. Glass Reinforced for applications requiring strength and stiffness such as housings, motor and lamp components, relays and protectors.

    For applications requiring absolute color consistency from lot to lot, we recommend prime resins only be used. Even though the economy grades have a reasonably good consistency from lot to lot, it is often impossible to provide exact matches due to slight variations in the natural color of the base compounds.


    POLYCARBONATE PRODUCT GUIDE

    PRIME, UNREINFORCED INJECTION MOLDING GRADES
    These are comparable in every respect to products from the well known producers and available in either natural (N-22) or water clear (N-20) as well as precolored.

    P1061 6 A medium viscosity resin for general purpose molding applications such as components for the electric, electronic, & household-appliance industries.
    P1041 11 A medium viscosity resin for general purpose molding applications such as light fittings, electric, electronic devices and thin wall appliances.

    P1021 15 A low viscosity high flow resin for thin walls, large surfaces and complex shapes.
    P1051 20 A very low viscosity, high flow resin for thin intricately shaped parts with easy release.

    Economy, Injection Molding Grades
    These are compounded blends of virgin resin and carefully segregated and tested regrind. This resin has good clarity and is also excellent for opaque colors and tints for both critical and non-critical applications. Lot to lot, there is good uniformity in melt flow and color of natural. All economy grades are available with property certifications for each lot assuring that minimum standards are always exceeded. The natural color is designated as N-10. Black is a standard color for all grades. Also available precolored in custom colors. These are available with lot certifications.

    1041 10-13 A medium viscosity resin for general purpose applications.
    1021 15-18 A high flow resin for thin walled parts.
    1051 20-25 A very high flow resin for thin walled parts.
    The following grades are reprocessed black utility grade resins where the color, melt flow and properties are absolutely uniform throughout each lot. From lot to lot, there may be variations in shade of black, properties and melt flow.
    1041UB 10-13 Medium Flow Black
    1021UB 15-18 High Flow Black
    1051UB 20-25 Very High Flow Black


    NOTE: For all applications calling for either precolored resin or blending natural with color concentrate, if it is necessary to have absolute color consistency from lot to lot, we recommend that prime resins only be used. Even though the economy grades have a reasonably good consistency in the natural color from lot to lot, the amount of stabilizers used to match the natural colors may vary from lot to lot and these can cause color matches to be slightly off from lot to lot.

    P1500 10%G.R. A high modulus resin for applications calling for high stiffness coupled with flame retardancy formulated to replace die cast aluminum and zinc. Rated by UL 94VO at 1.5mm/.060".
    1500B 10%G.R. An economy grade resin with good flame retardant properties and good stiffness in black.



    Foamable
    1105 A general purpose foamable injection molding grade resin with 5-7% glass reinforcement.
